The LeapFrog LeapPad player has a variety of stories and learning books that come with a cartridge that you place in the player to activate the system. Stories suddenly come to life with the light tap of the Magic Pen. Touch a word and sound out each letter. Then use the pen to help spell and define the word. Kids can work on phonics, language arts, spelling, and vocabulary. Kids can choose to hear the entire story aloud, hear it read line-by-line or even individual words.
In an annual survey conducted by ConsumerQuest involving more than 1,000 parents of children ranging from birth to eleven years of age, 66% of those parents agreed that using educational video games can be positive influence and can give their children an educational advantage.
